DIY Home Frame with Melize van der Walt

You will need:
- 1 x Any Size old wooden or plastic frame
- 1 x 3mm Tick laser cut-out wooden circle with the word “home”. Cut-out must fit into your frame
- 1 x 250ml Colour of your choice, Tjhoko paint
- 1 x Bunch plastic leaves of your choice (I used the lamb’s ear finish)
- 1 x Golden ink pad
- 1 x Packet white paper daisies and rose
- 1 x Sting of gold pearls beads
- +- 3m (depending on the size of your cut-out) Hessian twine
- Foam applicator
- Glue gun
- Glue sticks
- Scissors
Let’s do this:
- Apply paint to the frame with the foam applicator and allow it to dry.
- Wrap the hessian twine around the top half of the laser cut-out circle.
- Apply paint to the bottom half of the laser cut-put circle with a foam applicator, and allow to dry.
- Separate the leaves from the stems.
- Using the glue gun, glue the leaves on the bottom curve of the laser cut-out circle, and allow them to set.
- Using the glue gun, glue some (depending on the size of your laser cut-out circle) roses and daisies onto the leave arrangement, and allow them to set.
- Using the glue gun, glue roses or daisies on the left- and right-hand sides of the laser cut-out circle to cover the twine ends.
- Using the gold ink pad, apply some gold ink to the edges of the word “home” as well as the in- and outsides of the painted frame.
- Hang the decorated laser cut-out circle at the desired height in the top middle of the frame, using the sting of golden peals beads.
- Glue 1-2 roses or daisies with a glue gun to the string of golden pearl beads, and allow to set.
This makes a perfect gift to someone special.
