Design for work competition 2011

Libere Foundation is a Non Profit organization that teaches craft, design and business skills to children, young adults, adults and people with disabilities. The organization’s mission is to create Trendy, handmade products from waste materials to create employment.

These individuals also have the opportunity to compete in a competition called Libere 2011 Art, Décor and fashion Festival Design for work Competition. The main aim of this competition is to create awareness of the Libere Foundation and to raise funds for the foundation. This year the competition will take place on 12 August 2011, in the Western Cape Area.

We’ve seen this as a great opportunity to get involved with. PNA as a group will get great spin off from this sponsorship as one of our main departments is Art and Craft materials.

PNA’s Involvement:
PNA will assist the foundation to create awareness for the Competition and have the entry forms available in stores and here on our site.

PNA is the main Sponsor for the Competition.

Dates:
The Closing date for the competition is 15 July 2011.

Full details on how people can enter are stipulated on the English and Afrikaans Entry Forms which you can download below:

The main objective of the project will be to create awareness that:

  • PNA are giving back to the community by means of supporting the Libere Foundation who’s mission it is to create trendy, handmade products from waste materials to create employment

  • PNA are sponsoring a playgroup called PNA Playgroup for 3-4 year olds. The Foundation takes these kids off the streets and open up a world of learning while they are playing.  Nothing is more important than this phase.
